position: main rapper, vocalist, lyricist
debut stories: originally he was in a japanese group ‘I.D’ with ex-member jaeseok which was active around 2013-2014. there is very little information on the group but they disbanded and the two joined woollim together. he made his debut under woollim ent. with fellow member jangjun with ‘drought’, a W PROJECT, on 12 february 2017. he made his official debut with golden child on 28 august 2017 with ‘damdadi’.

‣ next to being a rapper, vocalist and lyricist, he can compose and play the piano. he always writes his own lyrics for his raps too.
‣ he studied modern dance and he’s an Amazing dancer ! he always puts his 100% into dancing, even if it isn’t necessary at the time, like for a game on variety.
‣ he’s fluent in japanese.
‣ he’s very flexible.
‣ his name was originally donghae, but after getting teased with it, he changed his name to youngtaek.
‣ he chose the stagename TAG because it sounds similar to the ‘taek’ in his name, and he wanted a trendy english name because he is a rapper.

all about youngtaek’s personality !
youngtaek is clingy and very physically affectionate to his members. he always puts his arms around them and hugs them, sometimes he even tries to kiss them :o he has so much love for his members and you can clearly see it in the way he hugs them, but also the loving look in his eyes♡ people always say youngtaek always looks like he’s about to kiss the people he looks at :,)he just really likes attention ! he said that he’s always liked attention, and that he became an idol because he wanted everyone to know his name.
he laughs really big and smiles really wide. when he finds something funny, he loses control of his body completely. he throws himself around and onto the floor, slaps people a little bit too hard and claps his hands until they hurt. another funny thing about his clapping is that his fingers never touch, he claps with his palms only.
youngtaek is the master of facial expressions! he has a face for everything, and always outs his emotions via his face. this is the face he pulls most often, it’s his surprised face :o
he’s clumsy ! not awfully like jangjun, who always falls of chairs, but he tends to drop and lose stuff. here’s a photo of him in despair after dropping Literally all his food.
he’s so playful! he loves to play and fool around with his members. he likes to get their attention and tease them. he can be unfiltered and he sometimes just blurts out whatever comes to mind, even if it’s insulting towards his members, but he always means well <3
he’s SO competitive. whenever they play games he’s screaming, yelling, shouting, jumping. his goal is to win, so when he knows the answers he gets really excited and loud.
taek and his little hamster hands. he always has to keep them somewhere, so he always holds his own hands, arms or just someone else. he’s very curious and examines objects in his hands. he also squishes everything squishy that he gets to hold. it’s too adorable!!
his energy is always so different! there are times where he’s calmer and zoned out. the members often describe him as pure and innocent, and say he doesn’t have many deep thoughts. but at the same time he’s so energetic, hyper, chaotic and loud!
not necessarily a trait but he’s so squishy :( and he always makes himself so tiny and it’s just so cute :(
